Scott A. Fowler
Scott A. Fowler serves as an Aerko International Senior Master Instructor, bringing extensive expertise in self-defense and corrections. As President of NW Self Defense Products LLC since 2009, he has led initiatives in product distribution and training. His 26-year career with the Oregon Department of Corrections (1991–2017) included roles as Correctional Officer (1991–1999), Correctional Sergeant (1999–2009), and Staff Training & Development Specialist (2009–2017), alongside service on the SWAT team (1992–2009).
Jason D. Primmer
Jason D. Primmer is an Aerko International Master Instructor with a robust background in corrections and tactical training. Currently serving with the Oregon Department of Corrections since 2007, he has held roles as a Correctional Officer (2007–2017) and Staff Training & Development Specialist (2017–Present). As a specialist, he is a Force Skills Instructor, Krav Maga Law Enforcement Vendor Instructor, Taser Instructor, and Lead Range Master with NRA and IALEFI certifications. Additionally, he has been an active member of the Oregon Department of Corrections SWAT team since 2014.
John Taber
John Taber is an Aerko International Master Instructor with over two decades in public safety, specializing in chemical agents and use-of-force training. Currently serving in a senior leadership role within the professional development division of a large state public safety agency, he oversees statewide training strategy, curriculum development, and instructor standards. His operational background includes advanced instructional roles in secure environments, delivering high-risk response training to law enforcement and correctional personnel. He holds manufacturer-level credentials for AERKO International and REDD Pepper Spray, and provides expert consultation on operational readiness and compliant practices.
